Happy Halloween!

I was pretty lame & didn't dress up for Halloween, but Reghan dressed up (about 6 days in a row, just to get plenty of wear out of her costume :-) as a lady bug. I saw the costume online, but decided I could make it for lots cheaper, so I got some pointers from my mom & grandma about what to do and went to work sewing a little ladybug cape.
I can't say that I'm really that impressed with my efforts, but Reghan makes anything look cute, so it was worth it! She didn't actually go out trick-or-treating, but she loved all the trick-or-treaters that came to our house!

Birthday Fun!

Reghan's Birthday fun...ONE whole year old! Where has the time gone???

Reghan loves her new snow boots! She finds them in her close and brings them to me, then sticks her feet in the air so I can put them on! How fun - I also picked her up a cute little "Randy" (from A Christmas Story) snowsuit at a second-hand store in Riverton, so all we need now is snow!

She got the idea that all the presents were for her pretty quickly! She didn't want much to do with opening them, but was sure excited to watch Nate do so!

I put Reghan's swimming suit on her for the cake - it was more modest than going topless you know. She was pretty cute. Just getting the hang of picking things up between her thumb and forefinger, so she at all the frosting one pinch at a time. Dad helped smear a little on her face for photo effects at the end...what a helper huh?

The Big ONE Year!

We celebrated Reghan's first birthday in typical birthday fashion last week. She was so cute. I'm pretty sure she didn't understand why she was getting all these new things, but she did understand that they were all for her, and seemed happy with that! She loves her new snow boots, and is always bringing them to me, then sticking her feet in the air so I can put them on her! She is enjoying all of her gifts, but hasn't quite figured out how to use her sit-and-spin or her puzzle correctly yet. It's fun to see the alternative uses she comes up with, though!
She was quite the little lady when it came to birthday cake time - she took tiny little bites of frosting, and only got it all over with a little help from Daddy!
I can't believe it has been a whole year. She is growing up so fast! What a precious little girl; we sure are blessed to have her in our lives.
I'll have to post pictures later - for some reason I can't get them to upload tonight! Sorry...
